Getting there & the terminal
The ferry terminal is at Piazzale dei Traghetti Iqbal Masih 5, right in the port of Genoa. By car, depending on your direction, take the Genova Ovest (A7), Genova Aeroporto (A10) or Genova Est (A12) exit; the A26 also leads there, with the terminal signposted from that point.
Without a car, it's a few minutes' walk from Genova Piazza Principe station, or you can take city bus line 20. From Cristoforo Colombo airport it's around five kilometres. Foot passengers check in at the ticket desk inside the terminal.
Check-in & departure
- Tirrenia: in Genoa, two hours with a vehicle, 30 minutes on foot before departure. Anyone needing assistance and travelling without a vehicle should report 60 minutes early.
- GNV: two hours with a vehicle, one hour on foot before departure. Missing the deadline means no right to a refund, not even a partial one.
Have a valid photo ID ready.
