Getting there & terminal
The ferry terminal is at Piazzale dei Traghetti Iqbal Masih 5, right in the port of Genoa. By car, depending on direction, take the Genova Ovest (A7), Genova Aeroporto (A10) or Genova Est (A12) exit; from there the terminal is signposted, and the A26 also leads in.
Without a car, it's a few minutes' walk from Genova Piazza Principe station, or you can take city bus line 20. From Cristoforo Colombo Airport it's around five kilometres, served by shuttle bus and taxi. Foot passengers check in at the ticket counter in the terminal.
Check-in & departure
Deadlines differ by operator - plan for the stricter one if you're considering both.
- With a vehicle: Moby Lines and GNV both require two hours before departure in Genoa.
- On foot: GNV expects you one hour beforehand, while Moby Lines allows check-in up to 30 minutes before sailing.
