By car:
From Rome (by A12): leave the motorway through the exits Civitavecchia Nord following signposts of ferries. Then take the bypass in direction Civitavecchia till to the port entrance.
From Rome (by SS 1 - Aurelia): when you reach Civitavecchia, follow signposting to "Porto".
From North (by SS1 - Aurelia): about 10 km before Civitavecchia take the pybass (Orte-Civitavecchia) to the port entrance.
From Viterbo-Orte: continue on this road until you reach the port entrance.

By train:
You can reach the town also by train. The trains from Rome runs hourly. Depending of the train, it would take you between 45 minutes and 1 hour and 20 min to travel the distance between Rome and Civitavecchia. Civitavecchia's train station is about 600 meters from the port. Alternatively, shuttle buses (Trenitalia bus service) frequently travel to the entrance of the Port of Rome.
